Comment: It is great to get the popcorn out when there is some blue on blue conflict, or at least posh on posh. Given that Earl Spencer’s lineage is arguable rather better than the King’s himself, it is hard to ignore his comments, even when they are clearly for the purposes of selling a book. As we found out with Prince Harry’s “Spare” there are often no holds barred in order to shift a few more copies. Perhaps what can be said regarding Spencer’s accusation regarding Diana’s “accident” is that if he was not in some ways relieved, perhaps he should have been. The Queen (consort) urging “togetherness” is quite ironic given her changed status after Diana’s death. Perhaps the real give away regarding the whole matter remains the late Queen’s delay in leaving Balmoral…

Comment: While his party may have an extra £72m in the kitty (for now), this certainly does not mean he or it should entertain any thoughts that immigration will be curbed in the UK. Indeed, one just cannot picture the Blob / Establishment turning back 60 years of progress in this area due to a Reform / Restore, or even new Conservative government in 2029. Indeed, immigration, taxes, state overreach and just plain red tape can only go one way.

Comment: One of the differences between the left and the (far) right in politics, is that whereas the right are quite happy to be unpopular (President Trump), on the left a large part of the game is virtue signalling. This is even when you are virtue signalling with people or concepts who may not necessarily be fully supportive of the concept of songs such as “The Shape of You”, whose lyrics include:
“The club isn’t the best place to find a lover. So the bar is where I go (mm). Me and my friends at the table doing shots, drinking fast and then we talk slow (mm).”
One would venture to suggest that in most parts of Gaza drinking shots and finding lovers is generally frowned upon (mm).

Comment: It is interesting that despite PM Burnham already confessing than social security (Labour voters) is more important than National Security, Ms Badenoch is still pushing on with him supposedly finding money for defence. A country with open borders and a multiculture does not need a defence, as all are welcome (even Putin), and there is nothing to defend.

Comment: The Labour party’s Fabian brigade must be rejoicing at the moaning of Fred Done, after all, making the pips of the rich squeak is what Denis Healey, the Chancellor in the mid 1970s wanted to do. Dozens of rich celebrities left the country, including the Rolling Stones, and this is what has already happened. Mr Done says he is too old to leave, but the rest of his clan is ready to do so.

Comment: Perhaps the most intriguing aspect of Sydney Sweeney is that she is clearly not your usual left, luvvy celebrity, something which means she is perhaps as much as no more than 1 in 10 famous actors / musicians / artists. Indeed, the late Dolly Parton was one of very few artists who strove to be as neutral as possible on political matters. In contrast, it would appear that Ms Sweeney would prefer to let her body do the talking.

Comment: Given that us Brits are skint at the moment, partly due to an influx of people from overseas, the timing in terms of reparations over slavery could not be worse. What would be interesting though if this ever gets to court is that while there may be slavery on one side to answer for, what if any benefits did the British give to the conquered nations? Presumably afternoon tea and cucumber sandwiches will not be enough?

Comment: It would appear that a deal by President Trump for “permanent control” of Greenland’s security, does indeed just mean that the protection racket that the US runs with all its allies (including Britain) continues. As for being led by a lunatic, one might suggest that Trump will be regarded as a lunatic by both the Danes and Greenland, until Greenland is attacked by a Russia or any other less than democratic entity.
